Saturday 30th July to Saturday 6th August 2016

Once again Alnwick will resonate to eight days of creative musical talent reflecting the colourful diversity of the UK and wider world, including:

Ukraine, Japan, Ireland, Africa, USA, Australia, Scotland, England and Northumberland.

Then imagine this served up via the genres of Folk, Jazz, Blues, Celtic, Balkan, Americana and World Fusion…

And add a choice of workshops and dance sessions including ulekele, washboards, maypole dance, instruments from junk, tea dance, ceilidh dance…  well, we think this is going to be FUN!

Welcoming the world to Alnwick since 1976

Our first festival was in 1976, since when folk song and dance groups from all over the world, including Mexico, the US, Italy, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Belarus, Estonia, Bulgaria and South Korea have taken part.

The symbol of the Festival is a dove, an international symbol of peace.

One of the aims of the festival is to promote friendship and understanding between people and cultures, as well as offering great fun for everyone who takes part - performers and spectators alike.

We look forward to seeing you!

 …the beating heart of Northumberland!
